This is very exciting, when do I have to RSVP?

Please RSVP by August 15, 2026.

Where is the wedding?

All wedding day (Friday) events will be at the Kimpton Gray Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. On Thursday evening, we will be hosting a welcome reception cruise on the Chicago River.

The Kimpton Gray address is 122 W Monroe St, Chicago, IL 60603.

The River Dinner Cruise dock is located on the riverwalk at 112 E Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60601.

What is the attire?

For the wedding (Friday), we ask everyone to strive for cocktail attire. For the welcome event river cruise (Thursday), smart casual is fine.

The wedding is Friday, but is something happening Thursday?

Thursday, the day before the wedding, there will be a two-hour river dinner cruise welcome event. All guests are invited. Drinks and dinner will be provided. This is a great opportunity for guests to meet and mingle before the big day. Hope to see you there!

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE THURSDAY WELCOME EVENT

The boat will depart at 6 p.m. sharp. Please meet us at the First Lady Ferry Terminal on Thursday by 5:45 p.m.. The terminal is located on the riverwalk at First Lady, 112 E Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60601. It is a 20-minute walk from the Kimpton Gray Hotel or 10-minute cab/rideshare. Parking is available across the street from the ferry terminal in the Illinois Center building (111 East Wacker Drive).

Will there be food?

Yes! What better way to celebrate than with friends, family and delicious food? The wedding event (Friday) will have a seated dinner as well as various appetizers and late-night snacks. The welcome reception river cruise (Thursday) will have a buffet dinner and drinks.

What about dietary restrictions?

When you RSVP, you can specify any dietary restrictions.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! Both the wedding event (Friday) and the welcome event river cruise (Thursday) will have open bars. It will include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

What will the weather be like?

Chicago in late September is beautiful! We expect daytime highs in the low 70°s and evening lows in the mid-50°s. We suggest bringing light layers and an umbrella (just in case). The wedding day (Friday) events are indoors. The welcome reception event (Thursday) is an outdoor river cruise so consider an extra layer.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We politely ask that guests do not use their phones during the formal ceremony. Other than that, feel free to take photos.

Are children invited?

Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate children of the wedding party and immediate family at the ceremony and dinner. We hope you understand and can still join us for the festivities!

What time will the wedding reception end?

Drinks and dancing will begin at 8pm and last until midnight for those daring enough to make it until the end!

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the wedding day (Friday) events at the hotel are accessible. In fact, everything will be on the same floor. The hotel also has elevator access and accessible rooms. The first level of the boat for the welcome reception river cruise (Thursday) is wheelchair accessible.

Where are you registered?

Yes! There is a link to our registry in the top navigation of this site.

Where will Tommy be?

Tommy, our dog, will be staying at the hotel too! And he might even make an appearance on the dance floor.
